Other Utah BLM offices occasionally offer commercial pine nuts.

Offices that have issued permits in recent years include the Fillmore Field Office and the Richfield Field Office (Hanksville Station). BLM Nevada may also hold a pine nut auction, which usually takes place in Ely during August. Their auction is an oral bid auction, but otherwise is similar to Cedar City's sealed bid auction. The US Forest Service sometimes offers commercial pine nut permits in the Dixie National Forest in Utah and the Humbolt-Toyaibe National forest in Nevada.

Data Sources and Acknowledgments: Information for the 2009 season has been provided by pine nut dealers and land managers knowledgeable about the field conditions in the areas they work.
